Michael K. Vakasy

Michael K. "Rat" Vakasy -- 56 YOUNGSTOWN -- Michael K. "Rat" Vakasy, 56, of Youngstown, departed this world on September 26, 2008 at his brother Kenneth's home. Mr. Vakasy was born September 24, 1952, a son of John and Betty Bonzi Vakasy. He served in the Armed Forces and was cherished and loved by all. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. He was an avid Steelers fan. He leaves behind two daughters, Dawn Marie Vakasy and Autumn Vakasy; his mother, Betty Bonzi of Campbell; four brothers, Gerald Vakasy of Flordia, Jeffrey Vakasy, Gregory Vakasy and Kenneth (Gloria) Vakasy, all of Youngstown; two sisters, Linda Burke of Youngstown and Debra Vakasy of Texas. He also leaves begind a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, father, and brother. He will be sadly missed by all. The family would also like to say thanks to all the Hospice men and women who helped care for Michael. There will be no calling hours.
