Michael Troyan, 80 Struthers- Michael Troyan, 80 of 194 Hopewell Drive died Thursday morning at his residence. Mr. Troyan was born September 4, 1925 in Sykesville, Pennsylvania a son of Mike and Ann Pinchat Troyan. He was raised in Cheswick, Pennsylvania and came to this area in 1954. A United States Marine Corp veteran, Mr. Troyan served in Hawaii during World War II. He was a Welder for Commercial Shearing now known as Commercial Intertech for over 28 years retiring in 1980. An active member of St. Michaels Byzantine Catholic Church in Campbell, Mr. Troyan was a member of its Civic Club, Civic Club Golf League, Couples Club and Sr. Citizens group. He was a member of the Struthers Knights of Columbus #4224 and an umpire for the Youngstown Baseball Association for Campbell, Struthers and Boardman. Mr. Troyan loved sports especially football and was an avid hunter. He leaves his wife the former Dorothy âa�A"Dollyâa�A� DiSalle, whom he married July 9, 1955; two daughters, Darlene Troyan at home and Sheree (Ralph) Pearce of Cypress, Texas; one sister, Kathryn Stanga of Springdale, Pennsylvania; and three grandchildren, Brian, Matthew and Bridget Pearce. Besides his parents, Mr. Troyan was preceded in death by three brothers, Johnny, Nicholas and James Troyan and one sister, Mary Ann Brendle. Funeral services will be Tuesday, 9:15 AM.at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland and 10:00 AM at St. Michael Byzantine Church. Friends may call Monday from 5-8 PM at the Funeral Home.
