Michael Joseph âa�A"Spikeâa�A� Traveline -- 96 STRUTHERSâa�"Michael Joseph âa�A"Spikeâa�A� Traveline, 96 of 156 Lakeshore Dr. died Monday morning at his residence. Mr. Traveline was born in Lowellville on December 25, 1909, the son of the late Joseph and Lucy (DeMarsh) Travaline. He was a life long resident of Lowellville until relocating to Struthers in July of 2004. He was a forty-four year employee of the Sharon Steel Corporation, most of which was served at the Lowellville plant. He retired from the Farrell Plant as an electric furnace Steel Pourer in 1972. On August 14, 1934 he married Leona (Secrist) Traveline who passed away on June 7, 2004. He is survived by a son, James (Joanne) Traveline of Marion Oh., a daughter Donna Traveline of Struthers, a brother, Henry Traveline of Boardman, one sister Ann Sylvester, of Lowellville, four grandchildren, Melissa, Robert, Laurie, Leah; and six great-grandchildren, Samantha, Chelsea, Michael, James, Will, and John. Mr. Traveline was preceded in death by two brothers, Nick Dalch and James Travaline. Mr. Traveline was a member of the Lowellville Methodist Church and was an avid sportsman, playing baseball in area sandlot leagues for many years. He was also an active and well known participant in area bowling and golfing circles. Funeral Services were held yesterday at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Lowellville.
