Michael âa�A"Coachâa�A� Terlecki Jr., 80 Struthers- There will be services Wednesday 9:30AM at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home and 10:30AM at Saint Anneâa�a��s Byzantine Catholic Church for Michael Terlecki Jr. 80, who departed this life and entered eternal life with the Lord on Saturday at St. Elizabeth Health Care Center. Michael, affectionally called âa�A"Coachâa�A� was born on September 13, 1925 in Youngstown, a son of Michael and Katherine Terlecki. Michael was a devoted husband for 53 years after marrying Helen Floryjanski on June 21, 1952. He was a wonderful âa�A"daddy-oâa�A� and grandpa and will always be in their hearts for helping to make their lives better. Coach attended Rayen High School in 1943 and then graduated from Youngstown State College in 1956 with a BA. in Accounting. He was Internal Auditor for US Steel for 17 years and later retired from Copperweld in Warren in 1992. He was an avid golfer having been in the St. Anneâa�a��s, Holy Trinity, Sam Cammes, and Copperweld Golf Leagues. He proudly enjoyed attending his grandchildren sporting and academic events, landscaping, and gardening. Mr. Terlecki was a member of Saint Anneâa�a��s Byzantine Catholic Church and the Ukrainian National Association. He was a veteran of the United States Navy Air Corp, where he was radio man and gunner during WWII. Besides his wife, he leaves two daughters, Cindy (John) Barbour of Newark, OH and Patty (Larry) Sabino of Cincinnati, OH ; four sisters, Mary Balash of Youngstown, Anne Betts of Hermitage,PA, Helen (Nick) Klus of Youngstown, and Pat(Raymond) Vasel of Struthers; a brother, William (Sara) Terlecki of Struthers; 6 grandchildren, Michael (Casey) Barbour of Newark,OH, Lt. Jonathan Barbour of Newark, OH, Eric Barbour of Newark,OH; Brent, Lindsey, and Lauren Sabino all of Cincinnati, OH; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Stephie Terlecki, Rose Terlecki, and Catherine Massaro, and two brothers, Steve and John Terlecki.
