Struthers - Michael L. Johnson, 45, died unexpectedly Sunday afternoon, February 2, 2014 after suffering a massive heart attack.

Michael, affectionately known as "Mike" was born March 7, 1968 in Los Angeles, CA, a son of the late Jimmie Lee and Ruth Holt Johnson.

He was a graduate of Snellville High School in Georgia and graduated from the New Castle School of Trades, studying heating and cooling. Mike worked for GNC in Niles for 13 years as a senior sales manager. He was currently working as a sales manager for Walgreens on Belmont Avenue and for Brier Hill Pizza in Struthers.

He was a member of Poland Village Baptist Church.

In his free time, Mike enjoyed golfing with his son Cody and cheering for his favorite sports teams, the Cleveland Indians and the Tennessee Titans. More than anything, Mike enjoyed spending time with his children and being the best dad in the world.

He leaves his wife, the former Rebecca "Becky" Fitch, whom he married February 15, 1991; son, Cody Lee Johnson; three daughters, Lola Grace Johnson, Amber Nicole Everson, and Alexis Jeanette Everson; sister, Melissa Ann Ford of San Diego; paternal grandmother, Juanita Johnson of Harlan, KY; father and mother-in-law, Gene and Pat Fitch of Struthers; two sisters-in-law, Priscilla (Russ) Sarkies of Boardman and Rachael (David) Platt of Burghill; brother-in-law, David (Deana) Fitch of New Middletown; nieces and nephews, Colin and Kaitlyn Fitch, and Rainna and Dawson Platt; very close friends, Dan and Aide Everson of Boardman and Chuck and Jeanette Dubos and their son, Mark of Lowellville.

A memorial service will be held Thursday at 6 p.m. at the Poland Village Baptist Church.
