Pulaski- Michael Jacobs, 87 of 2473 Evergreen Road died Friday evening at home. Mr. Jacobs was born September 25, 1918 in Youngstown, a son of Michael and Mary Jacobs. He was raised in Campbell before moving to Pulaski. Mr. Jacobs was a graduate of Campbell Memorial High School and was a millwright for the Campbell works of the Youngstown Sheet and Tube, for 42 years retiring in 1977. He was an army veteran serving in World War II from 1942 until 1945. He was a member of St. James the Apostle Church in New Bedford. Besides his wife, the former Helen Kushnir, whom he married May 17, 1941, Mr. Jacobs leaves two daughters, Carole (Bernie) Guyon and Linda Krueger all of Cary, North Carolina; two sons, Robert (Sylvia) Jacobs of New Middletown and David (Karen) Jacobs of Seattle, Washington; one sister, Margie Shipsky of New Bedford; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Besides his parents, Mr. Jacobs was preceded in death by a son-in-law Joseph Krueger, one brother, John Jacobs, and one sister Anna Slatsky. Funeral services will be Tuesday, 9:15 AM at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Lowellville and 10:00 AM at St. James the Apostle Church. Friends may call Monday from 5-7 PM at the funeral home.
