Michael Glaros Jr., 55
BOARDMAN - Michael Glaros Jr., 55, died May 2, 2012, at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center.
Michael was born Oct. 27, 1956, in Youngstown, a son of Michael Glaros Sr. and Alethine Glaros (Zizes).
He attended Woodrow Wilson High School, Class of 1974. Michael was a truck driver for 25 years, most recently for Krielkamp Trucking. Michael had a love for music, especially Bob Dylan and Neil Young. He was an avid Cleveland Browns and Indians fan and loved fishing, hunting, and facebooking. He also had a great love for his dog, Jack, and enjoyed fixing cars with his son, Chris. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Michael was proud to be clean and sober for 27 years.
He is survived by his wife of over 24 years, the former Judy Price, whom he married Oct. 16, 1987; his mother, Alethine Glaros of Cleveland; a son, Chris (Leanna) Glaros of Austintown; two sisters, Sophie (Tom) Davis of Austintown and Karen Glaros of Cleveland; sister-in-law, Alberta Akers of Boardman; nieces and nephews, Michael (Chelsea) Kachelries of Boardman, Alicia Williams of Boardman, Lisa Akers of Boardman, Robert (Kim) Akers of El Paso, Texas, and Lonnie Akers of Youngstown; great-nieces and nephews, Jacob Akers of Youngstown, Travis Akers of Youngstown, Meghan Akers of El Paso. He will also be truly missed by Larry McBride and Lisa Akers.
He was preceded in death by his father, Michael Glaros Sr. and a brother, Tony Glaros.
A memorial service will be held on Monday at 2 p.m. at the Trinity Fellowship Church in Boardman, with Pastor Don Monaco officiating.
Family will receive friends on Monday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the church.
Arrangements are being handled by the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home in Poland.
