Michael Gianfrancesco, Jr.

Poland- Michael “Junie” Gianfrancesco, Jr., 89, of Poland, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2024. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, JeanAnn (Allen) Gianfrancesco.

 He was born June 9, 1935 in Youngstown to the late Michael Sr. and Angelina (Marino) Gianfrancesco, from Foggia, Italy and lived in Youngstown. 

Junie attended South High School and worked for The Steel Door Co. before joining his brother-in-law, Mike Lariccia, at Lariccia’s Italian Foods where he became a “legend” and served his customers like family until his retirement. Never one to sit still, Junie went back to work at Lariccia’s part time where he enjoyed talking to the many customers, making long lasting friendships.

 He leaves behind his daughter, Sherri Hill; granddaughters, Kaitlin (Justin) McNally and Meredith (Corey) Gruelle; great-granddaughters, Nora, Emilia, Clara and Lola; great-grandson, Callan; as well as many nieces and nephews. 

Michael is preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Daniel, Mary Vona, Anthony, Edith Lariccia, Joseph, and Nancy DelSignore. 

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no services. 

Arrangements are being handled by Davis-Becker Funeral Home, Boardman.
