Melva Mae James McNab, 80 Poland âa�" Melva Mae James McNab of Poland died after a long illness, June 17, 2005 at the age of 80. She was born in Girard , June 15, 1925 to E.R. and Nora James. She was the younger sister of E.R. Jr. (Bud) James, Mildred Drake, Russell James, and Margaret Griffith. In 1946, she received her nursing degree from Youngstown Hospital Association and worked at Northside Hospital in obstetrics for 10 years. Her husband, George E. McNab III, whom she married in 1947, died in 2000. Mrs. McNab was involved in numerous community activities including the Junior League of Youngstown, the YWCA, the Speech and Hearing Center and the Poland Garden Club. She was a member and long time Sunday school teacher at the Poland Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her son George E. McNab (Margaret) of Poland and their children, George, John and Courtney; her daughter Carrie Mackenzie (Douglas) of Huntington, New York and their children Christopher and Sarah. Memorial Services will be Saturday, June 25th at 2:00 p.m. at the Poland Presbyterian Church.
