Boardman-Melissa Ann Riddick, 44 of Boardman, passed away peacefully in her sleep, early Sunday morning, July 2, 2017.
Melissa was born January 23, 1973 in Youngstown, a daughter of Michael and Margaret (Chuba) Secora.
She was a 1991 graduate of Austintown Fitch High School. She worked in medical billing and was a supervisor for Rehab South in Tennessee.
Melissa loved the beach as well as cooking, baking, and arts and crafts.
Another one of her favorite pastimes was reading and was in the process of writing a children's book based on her beloved cat Max.
She is survived by two sons, Codee Riddick of Liberty and William Riddick of Chattanooga, TN; her parents, Michael and Margaret Secora of North Lima; one brother, Chris (Lisa) Secora of Twinsburg; aunts and uncles, Millie (Bob) Jonda and Shirley (Jim) Fray, and Jackie (Pete) Keish; two nephews, Michael and Jason Secora; one niece, Magan Secora. She also leaves future daughter-in-law, Allegra Teleha (fiancé of Codee)and her beloved cat, Max; and many cousins.
She was preceded in death by grandparents, Michael and Stella Secora and Michael and Anna Chuba; and aunt and uncles, Alyce (Ed)Walkosak and Betty (Bud) Vargo.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 11:00AM at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, with Fr. Larry Frient officiating.
Friends and family will be received one hour prior to mass at the church.
Arrangements are being handled by Davis-Becker Funeral Home, Boardman.
