Boardman - Melba R. Purucker, 89, died May 1, 2015 at Assumption Village.
Mrs. Purucker was born July 4, 1925 in Youngstown, a daughter of Harry and Elsie Grapentine Tucker.
She was a 1943 Rayen High School graduate. Melba worked as a operator for Ohio Bell for two years and went on to work at the YMCA in Youngstown for 9 years, where she was a secretary and met her husband Norman . After they married, she was his secretary for his company for 40 years. Melba also worked for the Board of Elections for 29 years. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, and spending time with friends.
Her husband, Norman, whom she married Nov. 18, 1952, died Nov. 12, 2014.
She is survived by three sons, twins Timothy and Terry, as well as Jeff.
Besides her parents and husband, Melba was preceded in death by one sister, Norma Ceroky.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11AM at Davis-Becker Funeral Home, 8536 Market St., Boardman.
Friends and family will be received 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the funeral home.
