Struthers - Mary E. Williams, 92, of Boardman, formerly of Struthers, died Tuesday morning at the Greenbriar Health Center after a short illness.
Mary was born August 11, 1919 in Youngstown, a daughter of James and Agnes Shafer Sanderson.
A1937 graduate of East High School, Mary was a wife and homemaker. She was a member of the Struthers Presbyterian Church, where she served as a Deacon, and enjoyed gardening, cooking, travel, and loved animals. Mary was kind, gentle, and modest, and always cared deeply for others. She will be missed by family and friends.
Her husband David, whom she married November 3, 1938 died April 20, 2004. She leaves two sons, Richard Williams of Struthers and David G. (Judy) Williams of Newport News, VA; two sisters, Alice Resetic of Andover and Ruth Leber of Cleveland; and one granddaughter, Jennifer (Brett) England of Chesapeake, VA.
Besides her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by three sisters, Agnes Sanderson, Helen Dravec, and Catherine Booth; and five brothers, Jim William, James, Thomas Sanderson and Robert Sanderson.
There are no calling hours. Interment will be at Lake Park Cemetery, Youngstown, Ohio.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Davidson-Becker Funeral Homes, Struthers.
