Poland - Mary Thomas, 92, of Youngstown, formerly of Poland, died Monday evening at Park Vista Retirement Center.
Mary was born May 21, 1919 in Youngstown, a son of Harry and Eva Guzdan Rayouk.
She attended Scienceville High School and was a homemaker. During World War II, Mary was a sales clerk for Rulli's Brothers, downtown Youngstown,
She was a member of Holy Family Church in Poland.
Her husband Carl, whom she married July 20, 1941, died September 29, 1994. She leaves one son, Ronald Thomas of Atlanta, GA; her niece and God daughter, Arlene (Jeff) Kay of Girard; her nephew, William (Eileen) Kosta of Cortland; one great-nephew, Jeffrey Kay; and three great-nieces, Megan Kay, and Joan and Colleen Kosta.
Besides her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by one brother, John Rayouk; and three sisters, Julia Rayouk, Anna Hirshman, and Helen Kosta.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, 2:00 pm at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home Poland with Fr. Martin Celuch. Interment will follow at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Lowellville.
Friends will be received Thursday from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the funeral home.
