Mary Sinchak
BOARDMAN - Mary Sinchak was born March 12, 1922, in Campbell, a daughter of Ljubica (Koluder) and Matthew Blazincic, immigrants from Yugoslavia.
Mary attended Youngstown State University, worked as a cosmetologist, and served many years active in the VFW Woman’s Auxiliary and the Altar and Rosary Society of St. Nicholas Church in Struthers.
She was a long time member of St. Nicholas Church, for over 60 years.
She married Michael J. Sinchak in 1948, dedicating her love for life to her faith her family.
Mary’s center of her life was her endearing love she had for her family and friends. She will be remembered for her countless things she did for others while asking nothing in return, including her unending prayer devotions for everyone she knew.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, son, Michael (Carol) Sinchak of New Middletown; Son, Richard Sinchak of Phoenix; daughter, Elaine (Jerome) Herd of Houston; and son, Garry (Priscilla) Sinchak of Alpharetta, Ga.; six grandchildren, James Sinchak, Valrie Sinchak, Richard Doering, Cindy Doeringough, Lisa Luck, Michael Doering; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 47 years; sister, Ann McGovern; brother, Stephen Blazincic; grandchildren, Matthew Sinchak and Bobbie Jo Sinchak; and daughter-in-law, Janet Sinchak.
A prayer service will be held on Monday at 10:15 a.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, 270 N. Main St., Poland, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at Christ Our Savior Parish at St. Nicholas.
Interment will take place at Lake Park Cemetery.
Friends and family will be received Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family would like to thank the staff of Commons of Greenbriar and Crossroads Hospice for their loving care of Mary.
