Mary G Riffle

Youngstown - Mary G. Riffle, 85, died January 19, 2016 at Hospice House.

Mrs. Riffle was born May 7, 1930 in Braxton County, WV, a daughter of Okey and Mary Posey Strader.

She graduated from Burnsville High School in West Virginia. Mary was a homemaker and was a member Woodworth Church of the Brethren in Youngstown. She was also a member of the local Christian Women's organization. Mary enjoyed painting, taking care of her flowers, gardening, square dancing, and taking care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Charles, whom she married November 25, 1949; four daughters, Debra (Dr. Howard) Freund of Neshanic Station, NJ, Diane (Charles) DiGennaro of Hanoverton, Mary Sue (Tony) Grenga of Canfield, and Lisa (Joseph) Hamett of New Middletown; two sisters, Diegnese (Neil) Crabbe of Columbus and Dora Childers of Canal Winchester,OH; nine grandchildren, Seth (Jessica) and Saul (Shannon) Freund; Chad (Melissa) and Drew (Kristen) DiGennaro; Laura (Dr.Tim) Watson, Amanda (Darren) McCormich; Anthony (Sarah) Grenga, Julianna (Avi) and Joseph Hamett; nine great-grandchildren, Leah, Kami Grace, Aubrey, and Evie DiGennaro, Luna Watson, Miura McCormick; Zachary, Abigal, Madelyn Freund.

Besides her parents, Mary was preceded in death by two sisters, Madge Brown and Wilmouth Strader; four brothers, Daniel, Ron., Harry, Franklin Strader.

Services will be held Saturday at 11:00AM Woodworth Church of the Brethren, 30 E. Western Reserve Rd., Youngstown , with Pastor Mitchell Funkhouser officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

Friends and family will be received Friday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Davis-Becker Funeral Home, 8536 Market St., Boardman and Saturday from 10-10:45AM at the church.
