Mary Agnes Rabosky, 96
North Lima - Mary Agnes Rabosky, 96, formerly of W. Harvey Street in Struthers, passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at Assumption Village with her family by her side.
Mary, known by her family and friends as "Aggie" was born January 24, 1923 in Youngstown, the daughter of the late Paul and Veronica (Grumel) Hassey.
She graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1941 and was a lifelong area resident.
Aggie was a member of Christ Our Savior Parish at St. Nicholas Church in Struthers. She enjoyed playing bingo and the scratch off lottery.
Aggie is survived by two children, Shirl A. (Bob) Smith and Don J. Rabosky, both of Poland; a sister, Eleanor (Bob) Bernard of Boardman; four grandchildren, Bob (Jeannie) Smith of New Middletown, Shelly A. (John) Stephens of Akron, Rick J. Smith of Poland, and Randy J. Smith of New Middletown; and four great-grandchildren, Lyndsey, Kalli, Sidney, and R.J.
Besides her parents, Aggie was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Arthur J. Rabosky whom she married on October 20, 1943, died August 22, 1989; a infant son, Paul Rabosky and her two brothers, Frank Hassey, and Paul Hassey.
Per Mary's wishes, a private Mass of Christian Burial was held on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at Christ Our Savior Parish at St. Nicholas Church in Struthers, with Fr. Martin Celuch officiating.
Mary was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Arrangements were handled by Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home in Poland.
