Canfield - Mary L. Losoncy, 91 of Canfield, died Wednesday evening, August 9, 2017 at The Greenbriar in Boardman.
Mary was born September 11, 1925 in Youngstown, a daughter of James and Mary Avers Fuese.
She was raised in Youngstown and was a graduate of Chaney High School, Class of 1943.
Mary worked as an assembler for several companies in the area including General Fire Proofing, Ohio Chair and MBS in Youngstown where she retired. She was a member of Our Lady of Hungary, St. Stephen of Hungary Church now known as Holy Apostles Parish and attended Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Basilica. Mary enjoyed her free time working in her flower gardens and baking and cooking.
Her husband, Joseph Losoncy, whom she married May 8, 1943 died July 30, 2006. She leaves one daughter, Mary (Patrick) Dulay of Canfield; one son, Joseph B. Losoncy also of Canfield; one granddaughter, Shawna (Tom) Muscatello of Wexford, PA; and one great-granddaughter, Siena Muscatello.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph and James Fuese.
A prayer service will be held Monday, 9:15 a.m. at the Davis-Becker Funeral Home, 8536 Market Street, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Basilica with the Very Rev. Msgr. Michael J. Cariglio Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at the Green Haven Memorial Gardens in Canfield.
Friends will be received Sunday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
