MARY JANE LITWIN âa�" 94 SMITHFIELD, VA âa�" Mary Jane Litwin passed away on Wednesday, March 21 in Riverside Convalescent Home. Daughter of the late Michael and Anna Kacon Bogdan, she was born October 25, 1912 in Bentleyville, PA, where she also attended school before moving to Akron. She married Joseph W. Litwin in May of 1939 and lived in Poland until moving to Smithfield in December 2004. Mary was a housewife and a member of Highway Tabernacle Church in Youngstown, and New Life Assembly of God in Poland. She was a long time member of the Poland Home Extension Club. She was preceded in death by three of her siblings, Antionette Bogdan, Michaelene Curren, Violet Bogdan. She leaves her husband of 67 years Joseph W. Litwin, daughters, Dorothy âa�A"Dotâa�A� Dalton of Suffolk, VA., Judith Burton of Savanna, GA., Joyce Sheppard of Philadelphia, PA., Nancy Fowler of Alexandria VA., and one son, Robert Litwin of Cincinnati, of Dover and brothers Michael Bogdan of Akron, and Daniel Bogdan of Utah; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Family and friends may call Sunday from 2:00 âa�" 2:45 PM., at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland, where funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, with Rev. Duane Bull officiating.
