Mary Carmel Lepore

Poland - Mary Carmel Lepore, 84  of Poland, OH, died Sunday January 6, 2019 at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown surrounded by her family. She was born July 15, 1934 in Youngstown, Ohio a daughter of Pietro and Elena Ciacia Tirimacco and had been a lifelong area resident.

She was a 1952 graduate of East High School 1953 and had been a member of Holy Family Parish in Poland.

Besides her husband, Dominic Lepore, whom she married October 2, 1954, Mary leaves three daughters, Diane (Dave) Umbel of Poland, Linda (Scott) Benson of Poland, Christine McKay of Poland; her son, Christopher (Melinda) Lepore of Portland, Oregon; Sister, Nina Zavatsky of Poland; eight Grandchildren, Lauren Umbel, Dr. Benjamin (Amy) Umbel, Michelle (Aleko) Frangopoulos, Courtney Benson and fiance, Michael Patsko, Matthew (Eiryn) McKay, Meredith McKay, Dominic Lepore, Eliana Lepore and two great-grandchildren,  Brynn and Kace McKay.

The family would like to express their thanks to special friends, Sylvia Knodle and Joan Fitzgibbon along with her caregiver, Nina Zavatsky.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00a.m. Friday January 11, 2018 at Holy Family Church in Poland with Monsignor William Connell officiating.  Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests material contributions take the form of donations to The Friends of Fido or the American Cancer Society.
