Poland - Mary M. Hudoba, 81, of Oak Drive in Poland, died Saturday, September 18, 2010 at the Adena Greenfield Medical Center with her daughter at her side. She had been staying with her daughter and son-in-law during her illness.
Mrs. Hudoba was born November 18, 1928 in Struthers, a daughter of Leonard and Carrie Moscar Emanuel.
She was a January 1947 graduate of Struthers High School and attended Youngstown College. Mrs. Hudoba was a member of St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church in Struthers, where she belonged to its Altar and Rosary Society and its Senior Citizens Organization. She was a member of the AARP, the Ladies K of C, St. Anthony's Women Auxiliary, and the Poland Senior Citizens. She enjoyed many other clubs and organizations including a 500 Club that was started while still in high school.
Mrs. Hudoba had worked as a bookkeeper for Dollar Bank, a sales clerk for Strouss, worked at the Mentor Retardation Center in Mentor, Ohio, as a head cashier for Woolco Department Store in Youngstown, and for the Manor on Fifth Street in Struthers.
Her husband, Carl E. Hudoba, whom she married June 6, 1953, died November 10, 2003.
Mrs. Hudoba is survived by a daughter, Kathleen Hudoba-Hawes and her husband, Dennis of Greenfield, Ohio; and two sisters, Rita Fanelli and her husband, Don of Poland and Carol Circella and her husband, Bob of Uniontown, Ohio.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.
Family and friends will be received Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home in Poland, where prayer services will he held Wednesday at 9:15 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church in Struthers. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Boardman.
