Struthers - Mary Louise Gondor, 80, of Struthers, died Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at her residence. Mrs. Gondor was born April 17, 1927 in Youngstown, a daughter of Joseph and Barbara Vasko Skebo. She has resided in Struthers since 1955. A 1946 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School, Mrs. Gondor was a true homemaker and an excellent seamstress. Her hobbies included treasure shopping for her family and collecting dolls. She especially took great pride in her Hungarian heritage.She was a member of St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church in Struthers. Her husband, Stephen J. Gondor, whom she married on July 14, 1951, died June 30, 1997. She leaves three daughters, Jacqueline (William) McKendry of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Barbara J. Gondor of Pensacola, Florida, and Carolyn (Kevin) Scarski of Carlsbad, California; a sister, Susann (Deacon Ray) Hatala of Poland; two brothers, Joseph (Catherine) Skebo of Canfield and William E. (Dorothy) Skebo of Boardman; five grandchildren, Michael (Amanda) McKendry, Patrick (Margaret) McKendry, Jeffrey McKendry, Amanda Scarski, and Mitchell Scarski; one great-grandchild, Darin McKendry; a sister-in-law, Irene Skebo of Struthers; and a daughter-in-law, Diane Gondor. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Stephen R. Gondor; and her brother, Robert Skebo. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Holy Family Church in Poland. Interment will follow in Poland Riverside Cemetery. Family and friends will be received Friday from 4-7 p.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland, where a prayer service will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. Please visit www.beckerobits.com to send condolences.
