Struthers – Mary Stella Giancola, 90, died Easter Sunday, March 31, 2024, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Mary was born October 8, 1933 in Sulmona, Italy, the daughter of the late Antonio and Giovanna Marinucci.
She was a member of St Nicholas Church. Mary enjoyed her family, friends, gardening, cooking, and sewing. She was formally employed as a tailor at the Weatherbee Coat company until her retirement.
She is survived by a daughter, Mary Lou Dolson; a son, Dean (Denise) Giancola; grandchildren, Stephanie (Ben) Goldman, Brian Dolson, Jenelle (Sahile) Chawla, Nick (Natalie) Giancola; and great-grandchildren Noelle, Noah, and Nicole Giancola.
Besides her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband of 42 years, Antonio (Tony); her brother, Fernando (Freddie) Marinucci; her son-in-law, William (Bill) Dolson; great-grandchildren, John and William Goldman.
The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Santuccio Ricciardi who provided the best “Italian” medical guidance and care.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for family and friends on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at 11 a.m. with calling hours from 10 a.m.-10:45 a.m. at Christ Our Savior Parish at St. Nicholas Church, 764 5th St., Struthers. Interment will follow at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, Lowellville.
Arrangements are being handled by the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland.
