Mary Elizabeth Davanzo

Mary Elizabeth Davanzo, 63 Lowellville- Mary Elizabeth Davanzo, 63, of 167 West Grant Street, died of complications due to an automobile accident Saturday evening. Mrs. Davanzo was born April 19, 1941 in Youngstown, a daughter of William and Vivian Gumina Nicastro. She was raised in Youngstown and moved to Lowellville 42 years ago. She was a 1959 graduate of The Rayen School and for the last 15 years was a site manager for Forum Health, over seeing the Campbell and Lowellville areas. Mrs. Davanzo was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church in Lowellville. She was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Her interest outside the home included traveling and gambling. Besides her parents of Struthers, she leaves her husband Anthony C. Davanzo whom she married in 1962; one daughter, Yvonne M. (Ralph) Blanco of Lowellville; one son, Robert A. (Leslie) Davanzo of New Springfield and two grandchildren, Mya Marie Blanco and Marisa Monae Davanzo. One grandson, Zachary Davanzo preceded her in death. Funeral services will be Tuesday, 10:30 a.m. at Holy Rosary Church. There are no calling hours or prayer service. Arrangements are being handled by Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Lowellville.
