New Middletown - Mary E. Danko, 91, formerly of Struthers, died Wednesday morning, June 19, 2013 at Masternick Memorial Health Care Center.
Mary was born July 5, 1921 in Struthers, a daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth Feo Varacall.
A life-long resident of Struthers, Mary was a graduate of Struthers High School. She was a hairdresser and owned and operated Mary's Salon from her home for over 25 years. She was a dedicated member of Christ Our Savior Parish, St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Carol Redarsky of New Middletown; son, Joseph Danko of Dover; sister, Elsie Karke of Struthers; and one grandson, Greg Redarsky.
Besides her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her grandson, Michael Redarsky; and her brother, James Varacall.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, 11:00 AM at Christ Our Savior Parish at St. Nicholas in Struthers with Father Bob officiating. Interment will follow at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Lowellville.
Friends and family will be received today from 5-7 p.m at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers where a prayer service will be held Friday at 10:15 AM.
