Mary Ellen Cronin âa�" 70 BOARDMAN âa�" Mary Ellen Cronin, 70 of 64 Stanton Ave., died Sunday afternoon at her residence. Mary Ellen was born on January 13, 1937 in East Liverpool, a daughter of Donald K. and Garland R. Hoy Cronin. She moved to the Boardman area as a teenager. She was a 1954 graduate of Wilson High School and attended the Youngstown College. Mary Ellen was a member of the St. James Episcopal Church in Boardman, a former member of the American Business Womenâa�a��s Association, and the Youngstown Symphony Orchestra. She was a self-employed hairdresser, worked at Ron-Joy Nursing home as the Activity Coordinator, where she also was the hairdresser. She also worked as the Customer View Point Coordinator for Donnell Ford and was a writer for the Senior News. Mary Ellen is survived by one daughter, Becky Sharp of Austintown; one son, Sean Patrick Dougherty of Boardman; one grandchild, Casey Sharp; one brother, Donald C. Cronin of North Carolina; and five nephews, Bob, Dave, Rick, Steve, and Kevin. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by one sister, Jane Marie Hamill. Family and friends may call Wednesday from 4-7 at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland, where services will be held Thursday at 11:00 am with Rev. Linda Hilliard officiating.
