Youngstown - Mary Costy, 98, of Youngstown, died March 22, 2011 at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center.
She was born February 13, 1913 in Campbell, a daughter of Michael and Verona Gazur Bosko.
Mrs. Costy was an accomplished seamstress and tailor, making many wedding and bridesmaid dresses throughout the years.
She was a member of Faith Community Church and enjoyed playing bingo and going on trips to the casinos.
Her husband, William Costy, whom she married in July of 1938, died in May of 1980. She is survived by her three daughters, Patricia Klucher of Painesville, Carol Hamrock of Canfield, and Claudia (William) Freeze of Boardman; two sisters, Katy Achenbach of Sharpsville and Margie Stulock of Warrensville Heights; brother, Andrew Bosko of Brunswick; sister-in-law, Irene Bosko of Youngstown; seven grandchildren, Greg (Heidi) Klucher of Willoughby, Shellie (Lawrence) Smith of Painesville, Maribeth Hamrock of Boardman, Jennifer (Timothy) Godfrey of Canton, B.J. Freeze of Miami, Florida, Jessica (Christopher) Owens of Kansas City, Missouri, and Melissa Freeze of Los Angeles; 8 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, James Klucher; sister, Helen DeDomenic; and three brothers, Michael, Steve and John Bosko.
Services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Faith Community Church. Family and friends will be received Saturday from 10-10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow at Lake Park Cemetery.
