Mary A. Commisso, 85 New Castle- Mary A. Commisso, 85, of Golden Hills Nursing Home formerly of Edinburg died Thursday morning at the nursing home. Mrs. Commisso was born September 20, 1917 in Lowellville, a daughter of Larry and Tressi Manzzi Carrocce and was a life-long area resident. She was a member of Christ the King Parish, St. Lawrence Church, Hillsville, PA, where she was a member of the Womenâa�a��s Christian Association. Her husband Dominic Commisso whom she married September 16, 1938 died April 25, 1977. She leaves one daughter, Dorothy (Mickey) Markovich of Toms River, New Jersey; one son, Donald (Shirley) Commisso of Lowellville; four sisters, Virginia Centofanti of Struthers, Ann Balogh of Austintown, Lena Grannie of Florida and Carmel Masterangelo of Los Gates, California; three brothers, Ralph Carrocce of Poland, Dan Carrocce of Struthers and Bruno Carrocce of Dublin; four grandchildren, Maryann Curran, Michael Markovich, Dino Commisso, and Angel Commisso-West and four great-grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, two brothers, James and Victor Carrocce and one sister, Katherine Ornelis preceded her in death. Funeral services will be Tuesday, 9:45 AM at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland and 10:30 AM at Christ the King Parish, St. Lawrence Church. Friends may call Monday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
