Lowellville - Mary Jane Capan, 79, died April 26, 2014 at Hampton Woods Nursing Home .
Mrs. Capan was born March 5, 1935 in Lowellville, a daughter of Ralph and Laura Altiero Rotz.
She was a Lowellville High School graduate and was a cook for the Lowellville Schools. Mary Jane was a member of Our Lady of Holy Rosary Church. She loved to cook, playing slot machines, traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Peter, whom she married May 18, 1957; a daughter, Pam (Vince) Circelli of Lowellville; two sons, Dave (Rhonda) Capan of Poland and Mark Capan of Lowellville; two sisters, Stella Shuluga of Campbell and Charlene (Joe) Donatelli of Lowellville; a brother, Rick (Judy) Rotz of Saugus, Mass. ; eight grandchildren, Patsy and Vince Circelli; Courtney, Brittney, Dave, Amber, Marc, and Alexis Capan.
Besides her parents, Mary was preceded in death by a brother, Carmen Rotz; and a brother-in-law Joseph Shuluga.
A prayer service will be held Wednesday at 9:30AM at Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Lowellville followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Holy Rosary Church at 10:00AM. Interment will follow at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery.
Friends and family will be received Tuesday from 4-7PM at the funeral home.
