Poland- Mary Margaret Burich Arbie, 93, died peacefully on Saturday, October 22, 2016 in the Commons at Greenbriar. She was born November 8, 1922 in Wilburton, OK, daughter of the late Antonio and Giovanna DiDomenico Torella.
Mary attended Lowellville High School and was a member of Christ our Savior Parish at St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church where she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. During World War II she was employed at Strouss Department Store and was also an assembler for Playkee Toys in the early 1970's. Mary was also a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, Holy Family Senior Club and the 2162 Card Club. She enjoyed cooking, baking, playing cards and bus trips to various casinos She loved her grandchildren, and had a smile for everyone.
She leaves her daughter, Joanne Jones of Struthers; son, David (Dawn) Burich of Struthers; grandchildren, David Burich, Daniel (Sarah) Burich and Karlie Phipps (fiance Glenn Mohr); and her great-grandchildren, Nathan Phipps, Jonathan Phipps Jr., Landon Gillam, Zander Mohr and Madelyn Monk.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her 1st husband, John Burich, 2nd Husband, Louis J. Arbie, siblings, Pasqueline Pantana, Nicky Torella, James Torella, John Torella, Joseph Torella and David Torella and her grandson, Jonathan Phipps.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11am at Christ our Savior Parish at St Nicholas Roman Catholic Church, with the Rev. Fr. Martin Celuch as Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery.
Friends will be received on Monday from 4-7pm at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, 11 Spring St. Stuthers and prior to mass from 10-10:45am on Tuesday at the church.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Commons at Greenbriar and Dr. Ricciardi for the wonderful care given to Mary.
