Mary Barton

Mary Barton, 95 Boardman- Mary Barton, 95 of The Commons at the Greenbriar, formerly of W. Main Street in Hillsville, Pennsylvania, died Friday afternoon at the The Greenbriar. Mrs. Barton was born September 24, 1910 in Cleveland, Ohio, a daughter of Thomas and Rose Lubovanic Skocic. She came to Hillsville in 1928 and to Boardman 7 years ago. Mrs. Barton had worked in the cafeteria of Mohawk Schools for 16 years retiring in 1976. She was a member of Christ the King Parish, St. Lawrence. Her husband Dan Barton whom she married September 29, 1934 died November 6, 1983. She leaves one daughter, Barbara (Michael) Sloane of Pelham, New York; and two grandchildren, Gioia Sloane and Jordan Sloane. Besides her parents and husband, Mrs. Barton was preceded in death by one daughter, Elizabeth McFadden; one sister Frances Kliem; and three brothers, Tom, John and Frank Skocic. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, 10:30 AM at St. Lawrence Christ the King Parish. Friends may call Monday from 9:00 AM until 10:15 AM at the church.
