Mary Angela Almasy, 82 Boardman- Mary Angela Almasy, 82, of Fox Run Drive, died Monday morning at Beeghly Emergency from complications following an injury. Angela was born June 18, 1924 in Youngstown, a daughter of Joseph and Kendall Ayers Almasy. She was a life-long area resident. She was a graduate of Scienceville High School and during World War II attended nurses training at St. Elizabeth School of Nursing. Angela was a policy underwriter for McNab and Palcovic Insurance Companies and after retirement worked briefly at Gorant Candies. She was also a licensed Real Estate Agent. Angela was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church in Boardman, where she sang in the choir. She was past president of the Youngstown Business Womenâa�a��s Association and volunteered at Fellowâa�a��s Riverside Gardens where she earned her master Gardenerâa�a��s Certificate. She is survived by her son, Michael (Pat) Almasy of Columbiana; one sister, Katherine (Bill) Stanton of Livingston, Montana; and two brothers, Ted Almasy of McGrath, Alaska and John (Susan) Almasy of Lowellville; and sister-in-law, Doris Almasy of Campbell. Besides her parents, Angela was preceded in death by three brothers, David Almasy, Fr. Charles Alcuin, O.S.B., and Cecil Almasy, and two sister-in-laws, Angie Almasy and Thelma Almasy. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, 10:00 AM at St. Charles Church in Boardman.
