Poland- Marvin Luther Fix, 79, of Poland, died January 25, 2010 at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center.
Mr. Fix was born May 2, 1930 in Craigsville, VA, a son of Herman and Irene Campbell Fix. He moved to this area after high school.
Mr. Fix worked as a Mill Wright for Youngstown Sheet and Tube for 27 years, retiring in 1987.
He was a United States Army Veteran and a member of the Poland United Methodist Church.
He leaves his wife, the former Carol Brown, whom he married July 12, 1956; a daughter, Christine (Jonathon Durham) Fix of Poland; a son, Brian Fix of Freedom, PA; two brothers, Herbert (Thelma) Fix of Waynesboro, VA and Carl (Carolyn) Fix of Craigsville, VA; and a granddaughter, Serena Fix of Youngstown.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Brenda Fix.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
The family requests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions in Mr. Fix's name to the Poland United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 1940 Boardman-Poland Rd., Poland, Ohio 44514 or to Angels for Animals, 4750 W. South Range Rd., Canfield, Ohio 44406.
