Youngstown - Martin J. Weimer, 67, of Youngstown, died Saturday, November 15, 2008 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Youngstown. Mr. Weimer was born November 15, 1941 in Youngstown, a son of David and Dora White Weimer, and was a life long area resident. A 1960 graduate of North High School, Mr. Weimer worked as an installation and repairman for Ameritech for 33 years, retiring in 1999. Mr. Weimer was a U.S Army Veteran, serving in the 101st Airborne Division. He loved bowling, working in his yard, and spending time with his family and friends, especially his two grandchildren, Kevin and Amber. Mr. Weimer is survived by his wife of 42 years, the former Patricia A. Lumpp; son, Martin J. (Natalie). Weimer, Jr., of Lowellville; daughter, Renee (James) Weeden of Lowellville; two grandchildren, Kevin Weimer and Amber Weeden; four brothers, David (Lynn) Weimer of Liberty, Thomas (Ann) Weimer of Youngstown, Michael (Jan) Weimer of Boardman, and Ronald (Renee) Weimer of New Middletown; and one sister-in-law, Mary Lou Lumpp of Poland. Besides his parents Mr. Weimer was preceded in death by an infant sister. Private memorial services were held Wednesday at the Holy Family Church in Poland Contributions may be made in Mr. Weimer's name to the American Cancer Society, 525 North Broad Street, Canfield OH 44406.
