Martin Richard Fallat, Sr., 81, of Struthers, died Wednesday, afternoon at Hampton Woods Nursing Center. Mr. Fallat also known as "Froggy" was born Friday, November 11, 1927 in Struthers, a son of Andrew and Veronica Demick Fallat. He was a life-long area resident of Struthers. He worked as a strander for Youngstown Sheet and Tube and LTV, retiring in 1978 after 34 years. Mr. Fallat also worked for a short time for the City of Struthers Street Department. He was a member of the former Struthers Athletic Club. He was a United States Army Veteran serving during World War II. Besides his wife, the former June DiLullo, whom he married October 6, 1956; he leaves his daughter, Cynthia (John) Mesmer of Struthers; his son, Martin Fallat, Jr. of Milford, Michigan; and two grandchildren, John Fallat of Milford and Rebecca Mesmer of Austintown. Besides his parents, Mr. Fallat was preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Spirko, Margaret Heggedus, and Kay Fallat; and three brothers, Andrew, John, and George Fallat. The family will be receiving friends Saturday from 1-3 p.m. at the Davidson-Becker Family Center, 10 Spring Street, Struthers.
