Later in life, she was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Mar enjoyed time with her family and friends and spoiling her great-nephews and great-nieces. Some of her favorite hobbies included cooking, sewing, gardening, crafting, which included painting ceramics, and going on grand adventures with her lifelong best friend Linda.
