Martha Ann "Marty" Denmeade
February 3, 1940 — September 8, 2016
Hubbard - Martha Ann "Marty" Denmeade, 76, died on Thursday, September 8, 2016 in Vibra Hospital. Marty was born February 3, 1940 in Youngstown, daughter of the late Clyde and Ann Ferguson Denmeade.
She was a 1958 graduate of Poland Seminary High School and had been a member of Poland Presbyterian Church. Marty was employed at the Youngstown Sheet & Tube Company from 1965-1977 when they closed. She also was employed as office manager for Beckwith & Daprile for several years, retiring in 2008. She was an avid golfer and bowler and was a member of the U.S.B.A and the Youngstown Golf Association. She also worked as a starter at Yankee Run Golf Course. Marty enjoyed reading and spending the winters in Florida and will be deeply missed.
She leaves her brother, Clyde "Chip" (Martha) Denmeade Jr. of Madison; her best friend, Carolyn Gahagan, whom she resided with for the last seven years and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Allen F. "Babe" Denmeade.
Funeral services will be Monday at 1:00pm at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, with Pastor James Berkebile officiating. Burial will follow in the Poland Riverside Cemetery.
Visitation will be prior to the service from 12-12:45pm at the funeral home.
