YOUNGSTOWN - Martha Elizabeth Britt, 94, died early Friday morning at Meridian Arms Assisted Living.
Martha was born April 12, 1917, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Clyde and Elizabeth Maines Chapman.
A 1935 graduate of Chaney High School, Martha was a homemaker, a volunteer for St. Elizabeth Hospital, an active member of the Ladies Charity and past president of the Junior Seton Club. She was a member of the Holy Family Church in Poland.
Martha's husband, Edward T. Britt, whom she married June 21, 1940, died Nov. 2, 1984. She leaves one son, Michael Britt of Charleston, S.C.; one sister, Dorothy Markey; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date and interment will be at Lake Park Cemetery.
The family request memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the Blackburn Home, 6 Botsford, Poland, OH, 44514.
