Hubbard - Marshall A. McCree, 81, passed peacefully January 15, 2025 at home with his family by his side.

He was born July 2, 1943 in New Castle, PA, a son of the late Marshall and Betty (Schreckengost) McCree. He graduated from Lowellville High School in 1961, where he excelled with playing trumpet in the marching and concert bands. He then attended Youngstown College before enlisting in the United States Air Force. He was stationed in Columbus at the Lockbourne AFB. After he was honorably discharged, he worked at IBM in Youngstown, ultimately retiring as a systems engineer.

For 25 consecutive years, Marshall attended the National Bowling Championship, showing off his passion for the sport and his incredible skills. While playing in leagues throughout the years, he bowled several perfect 300 games and even recorded an amazing 833 series. Bowling wasn’t just a hobby for him, it was a large part of his life and he enjoyed every moment of it, especially the camaraderie that grew through the decades.

From an early age, he found a love for fishing and being outdoors, thanks to time spent with his grandfather. That passion stuck with him his whole life. He would spend many sunny days catching the limit of Perch and Walleye with his wife, Charlotte on Lake Erie. His family would anxiously await his famous fish frys, which he'd continue throughout winter when the season was great. During his retirement. he owned his own boat. His boat was docked in Lorain, where he spent countless hours enjoying the water.

Some of his favorite memories came from spending time with family and friends. He loved visiting casinos, playing Bingo, building large puzzles, and attending LPGA and ABC tournaments. Whether he was bowling strikes or reeling in a catch, he always found joy in the things he loved and the people he shared them with.

He leaves behind, to cherish his memory, his beloved wife, Charlotte; his daughter, Vera (Tom) Franken of Austintown; stepdaughters, Marsha (Maroun Moussallem) Williams of Arvada, CO, Monica Theis of Mineral Ridge, and Kelly (Dan) Ruby of Gurnee, IL; his grandchildren, Sarah (Zack) Lovitz, Derek Franken, Nathan and Justine Moussallem, Ally and Ryan Theis, and Olivia and Ava Ruby; great-granddaughter, Lux Lovitz; his brother, Victor (Sue) Boyer; aunt, Dolores (Eugene) Butch; along with several cousins, nephews, and a niece.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Wayne Boyer; and a daughter, Angelique McCree.

Friends and family will be received on Saturday, January 25, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home in Lowellville, immediately followed by a funeral service beginning at 12:00 p.m. He will have military honors rendered in recognition of his service to our country, and will be laid to rest at Lowellville Cemetery.
