Mark W. Lamp

Newark, OH - Mark Wayne Lamp, 62, of Newark, Ohio passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2024, in Youngstown, Ohio with his family by his side. 

Mark was born January 3, 1962 in Newark, Ohio, to the late Ernest W. Lamp and Jeanine A. Lamp (Chism) of Heath, Ohio. Mark attended Heath High School and served in the U.S. Army.

He was known for his fun-loving, generous, and kind disposition throughout his life. He found joy in his hobbies, especially fishing, music, NASCAR races, and activities that reflected his adventurous spirit and love for excitement. 

Mark was preceded in death by his mother and father; his sister, Connie Mae Richardson (Earl) of Newark, OH; and his brother, Gary William Lamp (Jane Penatzer Zimmerman) of Greenburg, PA. 

He is survived by his older brother, Michael Ernest Lamp (Donna) of Marne, OH and his sister, Kimberly Lamp Foster (Glenn) of Youngstown, OH; along with his nephew, Kyle Lamp of Washington, PA; niece, Shauntae Little (Shaun) of Moundsville, WV, niece, Lori Smith (Ronald) of Bloomingdale, GA and Yvonne Schilling (Jason) of Youngstown; along with many great-nephews and nieces. 

Mark lived a life that danced to a different beat, sometimes extreme, always filled with challenges, with a soul that fought hard until his last breath. 

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Davis-Becker Funeral Home, 8536 Market Street in Boardman.
