Marjorie R. Chill, aged 92, passed away on Monday afternoon, November 4, 2024, at Hampton Woods Nursing Center in Poland, Ohio.
Marjorie was born on October 14, 1932 in Youngstown, Ohio, a daughter of Edgar and Lydia Code Bierdeman.
Marjorie's early years were spent in Youngstown and she graduated from South High School in the Class of 1950. After high school, Marjorie pursued a brief career in modeling at McKelvey's Department Store as well as gracing the advertisements of local businesses, and showcasing her talent as a hand model.
For 25 years, Marjorie committed herself to the real estate industry, working with several prominent companies, including the former Mayo & Orvets, Del Realty, Roesti Realty, and Howard Hannah, where she ultimately retired in 2005. Her dedication to her profession earned her the respect of her clients and colleagues alike.
Marjorie was a proud member of the former Fonderlac Country Club, where her skills on the golf course shone brightly; she even achieved a remarkable Hole-In-One during her golfing pursuits. Her passion for competition extended to the bowling lanes, where she participated in the ladies bowling league at Camelot Lanes. Additionally, Marjorie enjoyed Contract Bridge and shared her love for dance by teaching ballroom dancing at Arthur Murray.
Marjorie will be remembered for her generous spirit, kind personality, and the warmth she brought into the lives of those she touched.
Marjorie leaves behind a loving family who will deeply cherish her memory. She is survived by her two daughters, Lisa (Dale) Wilt of Poland and Tiffany Chill of Youngstown; her son, William Chill of Sweden; and her two grandchildren, Nicholas and Emma Chill, also of Sweden.
In addition to her parents, Marjorie was preceded in death by her former husband and friend, William "Bill" Chill; her six brothers, Edgar, Charles, Jack, Arthur, Philip, and Fred Bierdeman; as well as her two sisters, May Ricker and Jean Archer.
Per Marjorie's wishes there will be no services held in her honor. Her final resting place will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Boardman.
