Marjorie M. Parella, 82 Poland- Marjorie M. Parella, 82, of 208 Evergreen Drive died Friday evening at her residence. By her side was her daughter, Susan, and her beloved niece, Dolores Tocheck. Mrs. Parella was born October 12, 1921, in Youngstown, a daughter of Albert Wheeler and Grace Linebaugh Iman. She came to Poland from Youngstown in 1956. She was a graduate of South High School and attended Youngstown College. She was a former member of the Poland Presbyterian Church. She was charter member of the Grey Ladies of the Red Cross at St. Elizabeth Hospital, the Womenâa�a��s Club of Poland, and the Friends of the Poland Library where for 55 years she was active in many of its projects. She was active in the Butler Institute of American Art and was the organizer of the first âa�A"Christmas at the Galleryâa�A�. Mrs. Parella was a board member of the Youngstown League of Women Voters, and an early member, and former board member, of the Youngstown Playhouse. She was a Poland correspondent at the Vindicator, and wrote a childrenâa�a��s story that was serialized in that paper. For 10 years, she taught at the Poland Presbyterian Church Nursery School. Her husband, Albert L. Parella, whom she married in 1943 died May 9, 1999. She leaves one daughter, Susan L. Dâa�a��Onofrio of Poland; four nieces; three nephews; a sister in law, Gloria Jean Kirchner; and several grand nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, two brothers, Thomas E. Iman, and Lester L. Iman preceded her in death. Marjorie was laid to rest this morning at Poland Riverside Cemetery. A memorial service will be Tuesday, August 17, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland.
