Youngstown - Marita Eva Klein, 84, of Youngstown, died Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at the Hospice House. Mrs. Klein was born January 7, 1925 in Alliance, a daughter of Norman and Mary Link Bair. Mrs. Klein worked as a waitress at the Star Oyster House and at Mazda Lamp Company for four years prior to her marriage. She was a member St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church in Struthers and a previous member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church. Mrs. Klein was also a member of the Ladies Card Club 500. She also volunteered at the St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church and the Byzantine Catholic Schools. Her husband, August Edward Klein, who she married June 18, 1949, died October 26, 1988. She is survived by two daughters, Sheila (Frank) Wadlinger of Poland and Cheryl Augustini of Spokane, Wash.; two sons, Bill Klein of Cincinnati and Fred Klein and his companion, Elle Heckert, and her daughter, Brianna of Boardman; a sister, Helen DeCarlo of Austintown; two brothers, Harold Bair of Austintown and Floyd Bair of Canfield; four grandchildren, George Augustini, Erika (Derek Detert) Wadlinger, April Wadlinger and Julie Wadlinger; and a daughter-in-law, Robin Montgomery of Poland. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her beloved step-father, Fred Ward; a sister, Norma Coppola; and three brothers, Kermit, Ralph and Robert Bair. Family and friends will be received today from 5-8 p.m. and Friday from 9:30-10:15 a.m. at the funeral home. In Marita's honor, the family asks that you wear something red to her funeral service. Services will be held Friday at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home in Poland at 10:15 a.m. and 11 a.m. at St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Boardman. The family requests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions in Mrs. Klein's name to the Rescue Mission of Mahoning Valley, 962 Martin Luther King Blvd., Youngstown, Ohio 44510 or the charity of the donorâa�a��s choice.
