Struthers - Marion Shuttleworth, 82, a life long resident of Struthers, died Monday afternoon at her daughter's residence on Clingan Road.
Marion was born August 7, 1928 in Struthers, a daughter of the late Francis and Gladys Weaver Coates.
Marion attended Struthers High School and was a homemaker. A member of the Struthers United Methodist Church, Marion was active in the church kitchen and was a member of the United Methodist Women.
Her husband John, whom she married August 20, 1949, died February 4, 2002. She leaves two daughters, Debra (Chuck) Pompeii, with whom she made her home in the past year, and Peggy (Steve) Evakich of Mercer, PA; one sister Shirley Neider of Struthers; three grandchildren, William (Neoma) Pompeii, Rebecca (Wayne) Greathouse, and Jason Evakich; and three great-grandchildren, Carmen, Nicholas, and Sophia.
Besides her parents and husband, Marion was preceded in death by one sister, Doris Coates and one brother, James Coates.
A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, 11:00 a.m. at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home with Pastor Jeannie Winters officiating.
Friends will be received Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
