Struthers - Marion C. (Munroe) Summers, 90, died January 9, 2017 at Hospice of the Valley, Hospice House.  Marion was born December 30, 1926 in Midland, PA, a daughter of John and Mabel Brewer Coble.

She was a 1944 graduate of Midland High School and went on to take classes at Ohio Valley Business School. Marion did billing and answered phones in the surgery department at Northside Hospital. She retired when she was 68. She was an active member of the Struthers United Methodist Church, where she was involved in the women's ministry and was a Sunday School teacher. Some of her other memberships included: American Business Women's Association, Holborne Herb Guild Gardening Club, Struthers Snappy Snippers, and Flower Wagon Garden Club.

She is survived by one daughter, Roberta Jensen of Denmark; two sons, Mark (Mary Ellen) Munroe of Boardman and Timothy (Karen) Munroe of Poland; and 10 grandchildren, Mikkel and Ane Jensen, Lauren (Jason) Frank, Shauna (Chris) Mui, Ryan, Brennan Carly, and Ross (Kris) Munroe, Dakotah and Anastasia Summers. Besides her parents, Marion was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Munroe in 1958, who died in an accident at work.  She also was preceded in death by her second husband, James Summers; one son, James Summers; two sisters, Virginia Kunkle and Fay Miller; and three brothers, Leroy, Wendell, and William Coble.

Services will be held Monday at 11:00AM at the Struthers United Methodist Church.  Interment will follow at Lake Park Cemetery.

Friends and family will be received Sunday from 1:00-4:00 PM at Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, 11 Spring St., Struthers and Monday from 10:00-10:45AM at the church.

The family would like to express their sincere thanks and gratitude to the assisted living and long term care units of Shepherd of the Valley, St. Elizabeth Hospital, Hospice of the Valley, and Davidson-Becker.  You were all a blessing for Marion and the family.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Struthers United Methodist Church.
