Marion Crosbie, 93
BOARDMAN - A memorial service for Marion Crosbie, 93, will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Tabernacle Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 2432 S. Raccoon Road, Austintown. Marion passed away on Sunday, Dec. 6, 2015, at Hospice House in Poland.
Mrs. Crosbie was born Nov. 30, 1922, in Rimersburg, Pa., the oldest daughter of Ray and Joy Mortimer Fowler.
She was a 1941 graduate of South High School and a homemaker. Marion was a long-standing member of the Tabernacle Evangelical Presbyterian Church, where she was active for many years, including part of a group of women that made quilts for Hospice House and Akron Children's Hospital.
Her husband, William H. Crosbie, whom she married March 7, 1945, died Jan. 11, 2008.
Surviving her are her daughters, Sue Leufkens of Boardman and Jeanne (Douglas) Pratt of Bonita Springs, Fla.; and 13 nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death, besides her husband and parents were, her brother, William Fowler; and her sister, Joy Jones.
The family requests material tributes take the form of contributions in Mrs. Crosbie's name to the Tabernacle Evangelical Presbyterian Church.
The family will be receiving friends and family at the Tabernacle Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Wednesday from 10 to 10:45 a.m.
Arrangements are being handled by the Davis-Becker Funeral Home in Boardman.
