Marilyn Mould

October 6, 1932 — September 2, 2015

Boardman- Marilyn Mould was born in East Liverpool, October 6, 1932, the daughter of the late Bonnie and Walter J. Smith.

She was a retired music teacher at the Leonard Kirtz School for twenty five years where she was named teacher of the year in 1979. Marilyn graduated from East Liverpool High School in 1950, and was an original member of the Melodettes, a singing and dancing group in the late forties that entertained in Ohio and Pennsylvania area. She sang with several groups and had leading roles in a number of musicals. Marilyn also enjoyed skating, dancing, and traveling abroad.

She graduated from Youngstown State University and Dana School of Music where she met her late husband, Loyal (Bud) Mould, whom passed recently.

She was a charter member and first president of Girard Children's Conservation league. She sang with the Youngstown Philharmonic Chorus under John Krieger and Franz Bibo, where she was a board member. She also performed in productions at Ohevtzedik temple.

Soloist in many Youngstown Churches included choirs at First Christian Church of Youngstown, Girard Christian and Central Christian Church. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Church and choir as well as past Deacon.

Marilyn was a member of Gamma Epsilon Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society, Mahoning County retired teacher association as well as a Delta Tamra Kappa Education Society member.

She was a member of St. David's Society, National Welsh Foundations and Niles Gymanfa Ganu Association.

Marilyn is survived by her daughters Deborah Snipes of Youngstown, Pamela (Dana) Dupler of Thornville, Cynthia Mould of Seekonk Massachusetts, and son Ralph (Mary) Mould of Poland; seven grandchildren, Reverend Lennel V. Anderson of Somerset, PA, Ralph L. Mould of Poland, Peter J. Georgiadis of Columbus, Rachel E. Mould of Poland, Joshua M. Snipes of Youngstown, Grace C. Belt and Lucy J. Belt of Seekonk, MA. as well as three great grandchildren, Justine A. Carney , Ralph J. and Conner J. Mould all of Poland; one great-granddaughter expected soon Elliana Georgiadis.

Friends and family will be received at Davis-Becker Funeral Home, Friday, September 4, 2015 at 10:00am 8536 Market St. Boardman, where a brief prayer service will follow at 11:00am.
