MARIE MASENHEIMER, 93
Marie L. Masenheimer, 93, passed away on July 11, 2011
at the Hospice House in Poland, Ohio.
Marie was born on August 2, 1917 in Boardman, Ohio, the
daughter of Arthur A. and Martha M. Schmidt.
She was a lifelong area resident of Boardman, and she
was a 1935 graduate of Boardman High School. Marie was
employed by General Electric and Raymond Brenner Jewelers.
A lifetime PTA member, she served as PTA president at
Robinwood Lane School and Boardman High School. She was a
member of Boardman United Methodist Church and its Martha
Circle, the Boardman Historical Society and the Duck and
Dive Square Dance Club. She was an avid bridge player.
She leaves to cherish her memory, a daughter and
son-in-law, Lynn and Robert Sahli of Boardman; a son,
Dale Masenheimer of Boardman; five grandchildren, Mike (Nicole)
Sahli of Boardman, Mark Sahli of Boardman, Jeffrey (Amy)
Masenheimer of Columbus, Kristi Masenheimer of Boardman,
Lori (Mitch) Prozy of Lewis Center; and five great-grandchildren,
Kate, Madeline, Lia, and Noelle Sahli of Boardman, and
Gianna Prozy of Lewis Center; a brother and sister-in-law,
Andrew and Twylah Schmidt of Poland; and a sister-in-law,
Lois Schmidt of Boardman.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by
her beloved husband of 60 years, Raymond Masenheimer whom
she married on October 12, 1940 and who passed away on
December 22, 2000; a daughter, Janine Masenheimer; and a
brother, William Schmidt.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Marie's
name may be made to the Boardman United Methodist Church
Memorial Fund, 6809 Market Street, Boardman, Ohio 44512

301 W. Western Reserve Road, Poland, Ohio 44514 or to

Private services were held at the Davis-Becker Funeral Home in Boardman
