Marie G. Maloney, 94 Struthers- Marie G. Maloney, 94, of 126 Omar Street died Wednesday evening at her daughterâa�a��s residence in Poland. Mrs. Maloney was born February 11, 1911, in Struthers, a daughter of Carl Bruno and Agda Johnson. She was a life-long resident of Struthers. Mrs. Maloney was a 1927 graduate of Struthers High School and received her teaching certificate from Kent Teachers College in 1929. At the age of 19 she returned to the Struthers School District and began her teaching career at the Sexton Street Elementary School. In 1958 after raising her family, she returned to teaching at the Lyon Plat and Manor Ave. Elementary Schools. She was a member of the Struthers Senior Citizens. Besides teaching, Mrs. Maloney enjoyed being a homemaker and especially loved taking care of her children and grandchildren. Her husband Michael Francis Maloney whom she married August 6, 1937 died July 25, 1963. She leaves four daughters, Patricia (Frank) Riddick of Poland, Carole (Robert) French of Leesburg, Va., Kathleen Maloney of Struthers and Frances Maloney of Los Angeles, Ca.; eight grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, Mrs. Maloney was preceded in death by three brothers, Carl, Alfred and James Johnson and one sister Sigrid Brown. Funeral services will be Monday, 10:00 AM at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers. Friends may call Sunday from 1-4 PM at the funeral home.
