AUSTINTOWN- Marian J. Woolford, 87 of Austintown, died Sunday, February 20, 2011 at her residence.
Mrs. Woolford was born March 22, 1923 in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Marlin and Marian Hess Allshouse.
She was 1942 graduate of The Rayen School, where she was a member of the Acappella Choir. Mrs. Woolford was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church and its Mar-Sing Class, and the S.P.O.O.F. Club which consisted of couples of the church; a charter member of Ruth Shrine order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem, member of Eastern Star Miriam Chapter, former member of Justice Court 26, and a Guardian of Job's Daughters. She will be remembered for the many cards and special meals sent to her friends and relatives in their times of need and special occasions. Mrs. Woolford could always be found working in the kitchen helping with White Shrine and the Eastern Star.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Robert L. Woolford whom she married February 24, 1943 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas; a daughter Linda Woolford of Austintown; a son Richard (Marybeth) Woolford of Poland; two grandchildren - Elizabeth and Matthew Woolford; and a brother, William (Donna) Allshouse of Sunnyvale, CA.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, James Allshouse.
Family and friends will be received Wednesday from 4-7 pm at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home in Poland and Thursday from 9:00-9:45 am., where funeral services will be held Thursday at 10:00 am. Interment will be at Lake Park Cemetery.
