MARIAN ELEANOR WILES âa�" 97 STRUTHERS âa�" Marian Eleanor Wiles, 97 of Marian Assisted Living, formerly of Hawthorne St, died Saturday at Greenbriar Health Care Center. Miss. Wiles was born in Cleveland on July 10, 1909 a daughter of William D. and Ada Goeppinger Wiles. She resided in Struthers since 1912. She was a 1927 Graduate of Struthers High School, and Graduated from Ohio University with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Education in 1931. Miss. Wiles was an Elementary School teacher for the Struthers Board of Education, retiring in 1971 after 38 years. A member of the Struthers Presbyterian Church, she taught Sunday school for young girls and children in junior high, and served two terms as a Deacon. She was a member of the Fidilis and Fiega Class, She also was the President-Secretary of the Finley Womenâa�a��s Association, and a member of the 175th committee. Her favorite memory of the Church was being a Deacon and helping to serve the Struthers Rotary Luncheons. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Jeannette Wiles of Florida, one niece, Marta Casper of Maryland, a grand niece, LeeAnn Heller of New York, and grand nephew, Jeff Lyons of Evansville, Indiana. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Fred Wiles, and one niece Paula Lyons. Family and friends may call from 2:00 âa�" 2:45 Monday at the Struthers Presbyterian Church, 110 Poland Ave., Struthers where funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM. Following the service there will be a short reception at the church. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers.
